The Secretary is a very essential Officer in any Masonic Lodge. He insures the smooth operation of the lodge by handling all correspondence with members, other lodges, and the Grand Lodge. He sits to the Master’s left and is the backbone of the lodge’s day to day business. Most lodge secretaries are experienced Past Masters and contribute their wealth of experience and administrative prowess to helping the Master ensure the lodge runs smoothly.
His Jewel is Crossed Quill Pens, which refers to his duties as the scribe and recorder for the lodge.
